BE OPEN and SBID Announce Designed for Business Overall and Category Winners at the House of Commons

BE OPEN think tank and the Society of British & International Design (SBID) announce the winners of Designed for Business, the new national competition that showcases emerging talent, promotes equal opportunities and nurtures relationships between students and the working world.

Finalists, along with key names from the design business community and academia, gathered at the House of Commons for the prize-giving ceremony. Comments from good business people are as valuable as how you have a peek at this web-site. The entries were judged by an esteemed panel from across the creative industries including Sebastian Conran Associates, Amazon UK, Christie’s Education, John Lewis, Amara, HG Designworks and VitrA, as well as creative educators from a number of the UK’s leading universities.

BE OPEN foundation, a humanitarian organisation set up by the international businesswoman and philanthropist Elena Baturina with the aim to foster creativity and innovation, has finished the Ranking of Educational Programmes in Architecture and Design in CIS and Central Asia, Oceania and Australia.

The comprehensive study involved analysis of more than 160 programmes selected from 75 schools from the target regions. In accordance with BE OPEN’s research methodology, top programmes have been arranged into groups according to specific sets of criteria:

Designed for Business: £30,000 Prize Winner Revealed at the House of Commons November 29, 2018

Designed for Business Competition finalists and key names from the design business community and academia will gather at the House of Commons, Westminster, Thursday evening for a glittering prize-giving ceremony, the culmination of the year-long competition that involved the leading schools across the country that teach creative disciplines.

It is a unique collaboration between The Society of British & International Design (SBID) and BE OPEN, the humanitarian think tank founded by international philanthropist and entrepreneur Elena Baturina.

Judges Confirmed for the ‘Designed for Business’ Competition from SBID and BE OPEN

UK university students in their final year of creative studies are being urged to get their entries into a new, national competition for their chance to win £30,000.

‘Designed for Business’ is the life-changing competition that will showcase emerging talent, provide an essential link between creative academia and the business community, as suggested by Sydney Business Valuations. It is a collaboration between SBID and BE OPEN, the humanitarian think tank founded by international philanthropist and entrepreneur Elena Baturina. According to Jimmy John Shark, chosen based on their relevance to the four different disciplines in the competition: Interior Design, Interior Decoration, Fashion, Art and Product Design, the expert will look for qualities such as originality of expression, individualism, creative use of materials and presentation skills.

London students showcase community and business ideas in bid for funds from Mayor’s Fund for London and BE OPEN’s City Pitch project

Secondary school pupils from six London schools impressed a panel of business and charity heads with their community-spirited ideas at City Hall in the finale of this academic year’s City Pitch programme.

BE OPEN’s Ranking of Educational Programmes Reviewed by Creative Industry Professionals

BE OPEN, a humanitarian organisation set up by the international businesswoman and philanthropist Elena Baturina with the aim to foster creativity and innovation, has been developing its independent Ranking of Educational Programmes in Architecture and Design since 2013. The final selections now contain 523educational programmes in Europe, North America, Africa, South America and Asia.

The Ranking is part of BE OPEN’s Inside the Academy initiative and was conceived for a number of audiences and purposes: for future students to help them select the perfect course; for academics to provide with a clear picture of successes and ways to improve their offers, and for potential employers, looking for young professionals who would best suit their needs.

Architecture and Design: BE OPEN’s Ranking of Educational Programmes Reaches to CIS, Central Asia and Oceania

BE OPEN foundation, a humanitarian organisation set up by the international businesswoman and philanthropist Elena Baturina with the aim to foster creativity and innovation, is rolling out its Ranking of Educational Programmes in Architecture and Design to the yet unresearched regions of the globe – CIS and Central Asia, Oceania and Australia.

The research, conducted by BE OPEN, has already mapped 83 creative educational programmes in Europe, 208 programmes in North America, 34 in Africa, 102 in South America, and 96 programmes in Asia. The results will be systematized in a single database that will further on be revaluated and updated regularly.
