Namrata Kotwani

Born in India, raised in Dubai, U.A.E. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Designing from Raffles Design International Institute in Mumbai, India. By profession I’m an interior designer but I have a unique passion for creating and design various kinds of home accessories, which are not only an integral part of the interior designing process, but is also a unique field to explore. What I further like to explore is the relationship between lights and furniture or accessories. For example, a combination of lighting and panelling. These relationships don’t only intrigue the customer but also enhances the entire atmosphere of the space. The materials I prefer using are rather earthy, raw and don’t have any applied colurs on them. The reason for doing so is I prefer using the natural colours and textures of the materials as they cant be portrayed in any other way. Hence the title “Roots to tips.” Currently I’m in the process of introducing my own brand, coming up with unique lamps, panels and other products.
