BE OPEN Art is happy to announce that Abdelrahman Mahmoud, illustrator and visual artist from Alexandria, Egypt, has been selected the Regional Artist of the month (March) by the highest number of votes of BE OPEN Art online gallery visitors.
Abdelrahman has become the last of the three candidates to the title of the Regional artist (Eastern Mediterranean), alongside Christina Kyriacou and Jovanna Theodosiou who gained the majority of votes in January and February correspondingly.
Very soon, BE OPEN Art expert team will select the one winner who will be awarded a money prize of EUR500. Also, a selection of artworks best representing the Eastern Mediterranean (Cyprus, Turkey, the Greek Dodecanese islands, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Israel, Jordan and Egypt) will form an exhibition, in order to share the art with the wide public and celebrate the artists involved.
