City Pitch Day 2

On June 14th 2018, six more finalists presented their initiatives for a chance to receive up to £1,500 of allocated funding to implement their own community project and through this process, boost aspirations, awareness and access to the world of work.

  • ‘Stop Smoking’ by Argyle Primary School, Camden: pupils want to help their community be healthier and cleaner by running a campaign to encourage teenagers to stop smoking.

  • ‘Rad Road Rangers’ by Elmhurst Primary School, Newham: demolish dangerous driving and save lives! Elmhurst Primary School pupils want to launch a road safety awareness campaign by creating a memorable video to share online and through their local council.

  • The Green Team’ presented by Ferry Lane Primary School, Haringey. Ferry Lane Primary School pupils would like to hold a river clean up and launch a campaign to help prevent pollution and protect local wildlife. 

  • ‘Tooting Community Time’ by Sellincourt Primary School, Wandsworth. It’s time to get off technology and get outside! Sellincourt Primary School pupils want to provide phenomenal family events in Tooting utilising local areas such as the library and Tooting Common.

  • ‘We Are Healthy’ by Rhyl Primary School, Camden, the campaign is promoting mental and physical health in Rhyl Primary School community by starting up meditation and yoga sessions for young people.

  • Families in Need’ by New North Academy, Islington. Pupils from New North Academy want to partner up with their local food bank to provide essential items for families living in poverty, such as school uniform and books for children.
