Art Limitless is a new project of BE OPEN Art online gallery tailored specifically to display the competition, publications, webinars, master-classes and other sources of knowledge and guidance on sustainability in arts.
Inclusive arts practice is a flexible, creative process that ensures equal access to the arts for all marginalized and discriminated groups, including people with disability, as audiences, artists and participants.
Today, art not only allows people to appreciate beauty but also gives meaning and impact to creativity, healing, and social change. To help build a sustainable society, the concept of inclusive arts was introduced which refers to the creative artistic practices that marginalized artists collaborate on. It is an emerging artistic approach that involves all artistic fields, aiming to develop the skills, knowledge, and technology to create high-quality works of art and other creative experiences. The collaborative process of inclusive arts is designed to create a mutually beneficial dialogue that allows the participating artists to learn from each other.
As an important artistic tool, inclusive arts can help people realize their creative potential, bring about change in communication methods, and enables self-advocacy among people with disabilities. The process of creating inclusive arts also provides new perspectives and visions of society.
For the Art Limitless Competition, from April to September 2025, BE OPEN expert community will search for and select artwork by artists with disabilities that demonstrate the beneficial power of creativity and inclusivity.
New artwork will be posted at the online gallery every month, and a public vote will select the Artist of the Month in the Art Limitless Competition. At the end of the competition, one of the monthly winners will become the winner based on the amount of votes by the public and the BE OPEN art community members, and will be awarded a prize of 1000 euro.
At the end of the competition, two more prizes awardees will be defined by an open public vote and the founder of BE OPEN Elena Baturina; each of these grants will amount to 500 euro.
