The section was an imaginary journey through the history of the perfume industry, tracing its roots from ancient Egypt up to present day. The exposition was set up in a separate interactive pavilion, presenting guests with the interactive opportunity to experience this history, through touch, sight and smell.
Greek-born and cosmopolitan Curator and Researcher Elena Vosnaki was chosen to oversee the historic part of the Journey, whereas Gérald Ghislain, Founder of Histoire de Parfums, curated the section devoted to fragrances and raw materials.
Their work focused on the main actors, fragrances, production techniques used for perfume production since ancient times.
