Over the last six months students from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London College of Communication and Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design have been exploring the possibilities of sound from three very different perspectives, as part of a unique collaboration between BE OPEN and the University of the Arts, London.
To mark the culmination of the collaboration the Sounding Space Symposium is taking place in London from 6-7 June. To follow the progress of the students research findings, the construction of the BE OPEN Sound Portal at Chelsea College of Art and Design and to follow the talks (including keynote speeches from sound artist Bill Fontana and Dr John Drever, Head of the Unit for Sound Practice Research, at Goldsmiths, University of London), go to soundingspace.tumblr.com
