The UK national design competition in collaboration with SBID to give students a life changing opportunity to win £30,000.
The inaugural ‘Designed for Business’ competition took place in 2018. It is a life-changing initiative developed by BE OPEN and SBID in order to provide an essential link between creative academia and the business community, showcase emerging talent and promote equal opportunities. Held across almost a hundred of UK universities, the competition gathered hundreds of entries in five categories: Interior Design, Interior Decoration, Fashion, Art and Product Design.
Graduates submitted hundreds of entries that were judged by an esteemed panel from across the creative industries including Sebastian Conran Associates, Amazon UK, Christie’s Education, John Lewis, Amara, HG Designworks and VitrA, as well as creative educators from a number of the UK’s leading universities.
With the support of leading names from across the world of art, design, interiors and fashion, the judges selected the overall winner and awarded with the cash prize of £30,000. In addition, winners in each category received £1,000.
