An exhibition of contemporary art at the interface with design.
Curated by Yelena Selina and Paola Navone, the ‘Verge’ exposition, shown alongside the BE OPEN conferences in Milan, was in many ways a more brutal and confrontational exploration of the dichotomy between artistic autonomy versus social utility. On a much smaller scale, and covering younger artists from different countries, Verge showed the refreshing clarity with which designers view the social function of both art and design.
