The talk dedicated to ‘The Garden of Wonders. A Journey Through Scents’ project was held in a crowded main hall of the historical Braidense Library inside the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. The event gathered the main contributors to the Garden of Wonders exposition: the designers, curators and representatives of the EXPO, as well as the authorities of Milan, academia and students.
The chief designers, who had exhibited their creative interpretations of the extinct perfume brands, spoke of their personal researches on the relation between crafts in the perfume industry and design, the values and heritage of small businesses and communities, which have been able to pass on their traditions and expertise over the years.
The talk was open by Martin Kater, Director of the Botanical Garden, and Cristina Tajani, Milan’s alderman for Economic Development, University and Research.
