The works of Indian artists JITEN THUKRAL (1976) and SUMIR TAGRA (1979) stand out due to the wide variety of mediums in which they find expression: painting, sculpture, installations, video, graphic and design, web design, music and fashion.
Their works transcend the frontiers of art and pop culture and want to be an interpretation and a criticism of globalization and of the consumer culture, but as well as an analysis of their repercussions on India today.
Through irony and play, their work deeply examines the nature of Indian identity both from the point of view of Indians themselves, as well as the way this identity is projected to the rest of the world.
