Zigelbaum + Coelho was a design studio founded by Jamie Zigelbaum and Marcelo Coelho. Operating at the intersection of design, technology, science, and art, their work used physical, computational, and cultural materials to create new, but fundamentally human, experiences. They realize highly interactive, technology-infused physical objects and spaces, by hand or in factories, exhibited in museums, private collections, hotels and corporations, combining bespoke technologies, designed materials, unique concepts and scientific rigor. One of their recent projects is ‘Cornucopia’, a series of prototypes and concept designs that combine digital fabrication technologies and food to bring brand new cooking technologies to the digital age and to provide a glimpse of the new aesthetic and cultural possibilities of digital gastronomy.
In 2012 Jamie Zigelbaum and Marcelo Coelho started separate design careers.
