With a master’s degree in Fine Arts from Goldsmith’s University, London Aysha Almoayyed made a remarkable impression in Bahrain by being the youngest winner of the country’s coveted Al Dana Prize in 2015, the highest honor the country bestows on its artists during the annual Fine Art Exhibition. More recently she participated in exhibitions in Paris and London and worked with curators Amal AlKhalaf of the Serpine Gallery, Corinne Timsit of Art Premium, and Art Critic Pascale Le Thorel the director of the editions of the National School of Fine Arts.
Almoayyed’s work is inherently experimental and encompassed drawing, photography and installation. Central to her work in an exploration of Bahrain – its society and transformation of the built and natural environment. The artist has exhibited in Paris, London, Hangzhou and Bahrain.
