Anna Aristova is an artist and designer born in 1983 in Krasnodar, Russia. She graduated Kuban State University with a Masters in Linguistics and Russian Literature, and Bachelors in Fine Arts with a focus on ceramics and printmaking. She moved to New York in 2006 and has been running her interior design practice since 2008. In 2013, Aristova co-founded A Space, an art & design studio that aims to bring in the timeless beauty of nature to contemporary lifestyle. Aristova creates ceramics often inspired by the female form, experience and gaze. Apart from white English ceramic work, she also creates black ceramics using a black clay from Mexico. In both cases, gold leaf is used to accent the work. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation that beckons to look beyond mere form and material, and to connect to the primal nature of the elements.
