Matthew Patten

Mayor’s Fund for London Chief Executive
Matthew joined the Mayor’s Fund in October 2012. The Charity’s focus is on accelerating social mobility. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Fund, Matthew was Chief Executive of the Lord’s Taverners. During his time there he led the modernisation of the organisation into one of the UK’s leading youth sports and disability charities. The Lord’s Taverners is a charity dedicated to giving disadvantaged and disabled young people access to sporting opportunity. Whilst its sporting roots are within cricket, Matthew helped the Charity develop strong relationships with a wide range of other sports including rugby, tennis, squash, basketball and boccia. Matthew’s previous roles include Chief Executive at M&C Saatchi Sponsorship and Director of Communications for Clubs for Young People, working with over 400,000 disadvantaged young people.
