Сonference. Unique & Universal

What makes something unique? This was interpreted by different designers in different ways. Ilse Crawford established a very simple geographical, contextual relationship between the two concepts and was the ideal first speaker. For Paola Navone and her cohort Daniel Rozensztroch, the unique was the way an individual put together their own distinct style from an infinite number of universal options. Stuart Parr established the relationship as the point at which a successful individual design becomes a universal one. The intersection between these two ideas is certainly one of the fulcrums around which design pivots.
